Our Story
Revelation Performing Arts and Athletics Urban Youth Ministry (RPAAUYM) (formerly Revelation Performing Arts Studio Inc.) is a Parachurch Ministry under the covering of Reverend C. Williams and First Lady Marcia Williams. Since our inception in 1999 RPAAUYM has served more than 1000 youth and families, partnered with the renowned Lincoln Center Institute, trained by Urban Youth Workers Institute and ministered at numerous local venues:

Our young people have also been blessed to travel out of state to minister: Faith AME Church's Women's Day Celebration in Laurel Maryland and New Mercies Church's Youth Conference in Duluth, Georgia, performed in 10-original “Works of Art” (produced by RPAAUYM ), raising $500.00 for DARFUR NOW and the distribution of toys during Christmas to children in the cancer ward at Brooklyn Hospital, Brooklyn, New York. Moreover, our students' academic achievement outcome record is to be applauded having a 99% Junior High School graduation rate with students accepted to private and specialized high schools and 1% of college eligible students receiving a $40,000.00 academic scholarship. RPAAUYM youth become active members in their schools taking on many leadership positions; as well as active church members; having 35% of them receiving Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Quality
Revelation Performing Arts Urban Youth Ministry Inc. programs are birthed from a biblical worldview in correlation with the 40 Developmental Assets (Search Institute). Our researched and standard-based curricular integrates the National Standards for the Arts with core New York State Curricular: English and Social Studies; saturated in Howard Gardner's Multiply Intelligence Approach to learning-focused on students' learning style and learning modality as studied by Cynthia Tobias “The Way They Learn.” in order to maximize student achievement.

Success
Since our inception 85% of our students improved in their overall academic subject areas, performed in Levels 3 and Levels 4 on standardized test, maintained 80% attendance in our program; as well as day school, and 95% performed in original mini and major productions.

Niche
Revelation Performing Arts and Athletics Urban Youth Ministry Inc. niche is its vision of using the “purity” of the arts (Dance, Drama, Music, Video Production) and athletics (AAU Basketball, Pop Warner Football, and Colgate Track) to disciple youth into the “spirits” of staff members-igniting their conviction to serve in Christ like excellence to win youth for Christ. Renowned Vocalist Ms. Kim Harley, Malissa Redmond, Mr. Christopher Daniels of Mr. Chris' Musical Experience, and Actors such as, Mr. Ty Robinson, Michael Harley, John A. Colon, Keith Trent, Sally Stewart Coleman and Chad Coleman from the T.V. series The Wire, violinist Jennifer Axelson, African Drummer Craig De Passe, and Kenneth Murphy, choreographers Ms. “T” Slaughter, Ms. Patricia, Ms. “Sam” Hargrove, and Theatre Director, “Imani” have all worked, conducted workshops, and/or have been a guest speaker, enabling the ministry to be steadfast in manifesting Christ in culture by exemplifying Revelation Performing Arts and Athletics Urban Youth Ministry's core purpose and core value.

Founders: Mr. and Mrs. Chapman
Mr. and Mrs. Chapman are both Educators by profession, Entrepreneurs by calling and Christians by the salvation grace of Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior.

Since 1999, these incarnated leaders have dedicated their lives to the educational and spiritual development of urban youth through arts and athletics in education.

Mrs. Bibi' Chapman received a Master of Art Degree in Education, possess 30 credits above her M.A. Degree in School and District Level Educational Supervision, Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from Columbia University, Urban Youth Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary, and is a PhD candidate.

Mr. Chapman holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Service from Rhode Island College and Master of Art Degree in Organizational Management from NYACK College and plans to pursue his PhD in 2009. As former Educators, Mr. and Mrs. Chapman are compelled to use their faith in God and passion in kingdom building to equip future generations with eternal life prerequisites which, lead to positive youth development: spiritually, academically, physically, and socially; including family life. Ergo, their mission to use artistry and athleticism as a reflection of the Creator's heart to win youth for Christ, disciple for incarnated indigenous leadership, and commission for the redemption of urban communities; one city block at a time!
